EKF shortened tendering process of IT-operation by 6 months

EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency renewed their IT-operation with SKI 02.22. In that connection, they collaborated with Peak’s advisor to develop the necessary documents and facilitate their tendering process. 


EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency wanted to renew their existing IT-operation. The objective of the renewal was to find a solution, that was as standardized as possible, as they had previously had a very complex and heavy contract, where some conditions were too loosely defined, and the contract was gradually becoming hard to handle. At the same time, it was necessary that the framework of the agreement was flexible, so potential new demands and services could be met, as they arose.  

Consequently, they ended up choosing SKI’s framework agreement 02.22 IT-operational capacity, which is both simple and resource saving, and also contains the necessary flexibility. In order to ensure the right transition, a Peak consultant was brought along as advisor on the process.  




Peak’s consultant stepped in as tender counsel, and advised EKF, particularly about the forms of tenders and the actual process leading up to the signing of the new contract. Furthermore, the consultant advised on the applications of the SKI 02.22 framework agreement with regard to EKF’s situation and scope, and also helped gather and develop the documents necessary for entering into agreements on the framework agreement. 

Among other things, this involved the following deliverables: 

  • A plan for the tendering process 
  • Dialogue meetings with 9 suppliers 
  • Uncovering of safety requirements in terms of ISO 27001 
  • Evaluation and approval of business case 
  • Signing of final supplier agreement 
  • Starting transition to new supplier 

The result was a new 3-year agreement on IT-operation with the possibility of extending it for 3+ 3 years. The tendering process was only 3 months long, much shorter than the estimated 9 months it would have taken, if EKF had started the tender from scratch. Due to this much shorter process, EKF also achieved significant savings on employees and resources.
